Yes, I just received . . .

A spoof email about LinkedIn

Spoof or spam emails are often related to finances in some way, including your bank or paypal accounts.

But this one was about a Social Media account that I hold with LinkedIn.

As a B2B version of Facebook, LinkedIn is a great way for businesses to network and connect.

Warning about Domain Renewal Notices

Here is another barely legal scam, (sorry – “solicitation)”, that people fall for every day.

It purports to be related to your domain renewal – which is, of course, a very important part of your website.

It also presents as an invoice that is due for payment by your company.  (see image below)

Note the dire warnings in the document:

  • “Notice of Expiration”
