I had a most interesting consultation with one of our clients recently.
They were telling me about their experiences of the Christmas holiday break.
It seems that everyone in their industry closed down . . .
over the Christmas break – they were the only business trading for some 15 kilometres around.
As a result, they were flat out busy with sales and revenue up.
People were coming from miles around, because no-one else was open.
They were getting the customers of their competitors coming into their shop and making purchases.
Sales that this business would never have otherwise made.
What a Golden Opportunity
What a golden opportunity to:
- showcase the business
- convert new customers
- build a database
Sure, we all want holidays and we all want to take a break.
But why not take a break later in the year when all of your competitors are working hard competing for the business that is available at that time?
Why not “make hay while the sun shines” ? !
Success in business is not always about working harder.
Usually, it is about working smarter . . . and that often means that you don’t have to work as hard.
